MGH Wins National Award for OLD BAY Advertising Work
MGH was the only Baltimore agency to have work compete at the national level of the ADDY awards, which are conducted by the American Advertising Federation
BALTIMORE (June 15, 2015) – MGH, a full-service marketing communications agency, today announced it has received a Gold National ADDY for its advertising work for OLD BAY. The Gold National ADDY was awarded for a two-page print ad that MGH created for OLD BAY's 75th anniversary, which featured an image of crabs atop a newspaper page full of fake, OLD BAY-infused news.
The national ADDY awards took place on June 13 at the American Advertising Federation’s National Conference in Las Vegas. MGH was the only Baltimore agency to have work advance to this year's national competition.
"It’s truly an honor to have our creative work for OLD BAY receive a national award in our industry’s most prestigious competition,” said Jane Goldstrom, president and chief operating officer of MGH. "This award is a huge milestone for our agency and we are thrilled to have our work recognized among some of the top advertising shops across the country.”
After winning “Best in Show” at the Baltimore ADDY competition level for its OLD BAY print ad, MGH went on to win a Gold ADDY for the OLD BAY ad at the District II ADDY competition level, which included entries from New York and Washington, D.C. Earning the Gold ADDY at the District level allowed the agency to move on to the national competition.
The ADDY competition is the industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. Entries are first judged at the regional level and move on to the district level if they achieve either Silver or Gold. They then move on to the national level if they achieve either Silver or Gold at the district level. The Gold ADDY is recognition of the superiority of that ad to the other entries in its category.
