Trends from the 2024 Summer Fancy Food Show
MGH is a proud member of the Specialty Food Association (SFA) - a trade organization representing more than 3,800 businesses, including artisanal, gourmet, and natural foods - and recently attended the organization’s 2024 Summer Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center in NYC.
Aside from being too full to move, we had a great time tracking trends, enjoying (a lot of) food samples, seeing old and new friends, and strolling through the vast floor.
Some of this year’s top trends included:
š¶ļø Turning up the Heat: Spice was everywhere, with numerous new hot sauce brands and spicy twists being added to nearly every product category.
š„Ø Elevated Snacks: The snacking world is evolving with innovative options like rice-based popcorn and protein-packed chips made from chicken, offering a fresh take on traditional snacks.
š°š· Spotlight on Korean Cuisine: Among the 56 countries represented, Korea truly stood out with its culinary delights such as bulgogi, kimchi, ice cream treats, and tteokbokki featured prominently throughout the conference.
